Our spring was wonderful, but summer is over now and we missed out on autumn. And now all of a sudden, it’s cold, so cold that everything is freezing over. Our love fell asleep, and the snow took it by surprise. But if you fall asleep in the snow, you don’t feel death coming.

Beautiful little film within a film set in the heart of Paris. In only 7 minutes, we are given an honest insight into the progressive, sometimes cyclical, nature of relationships through the world of Tomas and Maxine. Tomas is a blind and oddly delightful Parisian student and Francine, an eccentric and beautiful American aspiring actress. Everything is always most beautiful when it’s new and unfamiliar. Time is the enemy. Familiarity breeds complacency. Paying attention is critical. Tend to your rose in all seasons.

Forgive me, Francine.

Can you hear me, Tomas?

No. I see you.

The short really resonated with me. Thought I’d share 🙂
